We transformed the space into a vibrant corridor of creativity and inspiration.
I wanted to create a fun public art piece.
My mission was to inject some color and imagination into the heart of San Antonio's East Side community.
We created transformation and creativity in our community.
We turned an ordinary location into a masterpiece.
The community came together to support paint.
Each word on the crayon is meant to inspire and evoke the way of being.
The crayons are painted on the support columns of the overpass.
The mural is located at Brooklyn and Austin under IH-37.
It was funded by 83 private donors.
The project was fully funded through crowdfunding.
This project brought the community together to bring vibrant life to San Antonio's East Side.
This concept came to life for me by staying connected to my vision of creating joy through color.
My goal was to create a 2,600 sq ft mural.
